Resident Evil

Capcom has surely outdone themselves by making this game,
even though Alone in the Dark Made the Survival horror
series, Capcom perfected it, with Resident Evil.
Graphics 9/10
Lets start off with the character design. They don't have
much detail, but they move freely and sseem to interact well
with the backgrounds. But the thing that makes this score
HIGH, is the magnifecently done backgrounds, they are
pre-textured and look as if were real life. The zombies
don't look so well though, meaning graphics wise, they have
a very bland face and there are only a few types, they look
round and not very exciting, but is that allways a bad thing?
Audio/Music 10/10
The Sound effects are as startling and as scary as ever,
from the slam of a door, to the sound of you flesh being
bitten by a flesh eating zombie... The sound of a crow or a
hunter is allways very frightning, and the music is the best
in the series, helping the the whole 'scary' factor in
this game about 90%. And it sure gets you on the edge of
your seat when your fighting a hoard of zombies or when you
are introduced to the Hunter.
Puzzles 9/10
This is clearly one of the best puzzling games out there. At
the first, you just easily gather ammunition and health
herbs, but once you get into the middle and the ending, your
about to blow your head over a puzzle you just messed up, or
just figured out. But one thing that is quite stupid in the
game is that when you run into the weapon like the Rocket
Launcher, and it says, 'Will you take the Rocket
Launcher?' Thats like saying, 'Will you take this huge
powerful weapon that can almost destroy everything in one
blow?' It's like anyone will say NO, sheesh.... well
besides that fact that sorta annoys me, this is an excellent
puzzler game.
Story 9/10
You are a part of the S.T.A.R.S police SWAT team, you come
upon this creepy Mansion for just the fact of pure safety,
but you din't know what is about to get you. After losing
alot of your team-mates, either from zombies or just losing
yourself without a compuse, you have to get out of the
Mansion and at the same time, survive and found you
team-mates and friends. You run into Zombies, Dogs, Hunters,
Tyrants, Spiders, Demios, and more to eat your ammo up...
Rent-or-Buy?
With this game for only about $15, I would get it even if I
didn't like Survival Horror games, but a renting fist is
allways safe...
Overall: 10 out of 10
