Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown

Wolfenstein 3D started a new trend in the gaming business.
First person shooters were becoming the craze. Along came
Doom and it became one of the biggest games in history.
Total Meltdown is a similar game starring the ultimate
action hero: Duke Nukem.
Duke games are known for their outrageous weapons, cheesy
storylines and of course, strippers! This game is no different.
Meltdown consists of four different episodes, with random
locations. You are Duke Nukem and are trying to rid the
earth of evil and anyone you feel like. You have an
assortment of weapons to choose from, including an awesome
double rocket launcher. Modern weapons can't match that. You
also run across various items to help you, such as jet packs
and steroids. With all this you are supposes to do just one
thing. Kill anything that moves, whether it be ugly aliens
or even uglier L. A. P. D.
If you thought Doom was fun, Duke takes it even further. All
the blood and gore is present along with the occassional
stripper. You can even offer strippers cash to dance for
you. The environment is interactive and you can take leaks
to revive some health or just blow the toilet up if you want.
Even though the stories don't make any sense, this game is a
lot of fun for people who want to relieve some anger or stress.
Graphics: 3.
Horrible graphics, but Duke isn't supposed to be about
graphics anyway. He looks blocky and the enemies all look
the same. The surroundings are also just average.
Sound: 9.
Cool techno beats blare in the background while you kill
someone and hear Duke remark, 'That's what you get
a**hole. ' Enough Said.
Gameplay: 7.
Nothing complicated. Run around the level, collect keys and
kill bad guys. Simple, yet fun.
Replay Value: 6.
Anytime you feel the need for virtual blood, play this game.
Too bad, you need two playstations to play multiplayer though.
Overall: 7 out of 10
If you like testosterone filled games, this is the one for you.
