More Information

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Don't buy for games, worth only for video
Facts:
- You should know this before hand, only the video output will use your entire TV screen. The games will use only about 60-70% of the screen.
- Also, the games can be output only using this component cable (not the composite cable)

Pros:
- Video quality of CNN podcasts looked great on a 51" TV
- Connecting to the TV and transferring video output to the TV was very easy
- The video controls are rich but OK to use (nothing to do with cable though)

Cons:
- The video quality of the game was bad.
- Madden NFL 08 looked terrible, could hardly make out the plays or the text.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not all that it's cracked up to be...
When I heard that I could use these cables to play my PSP video games & watch UMDs on my TV, I was so excited and bought them right away, but sadly, they weren't what I expected...
True, these cables allow you to watch UMDs and play video games on your TV with the PSP as the controller, but it's nothing like what you'd expect it to be...
While UMDs play great on your TV, and display in Full Frame or Widescreen, (depending on the UMDs aspect ratio) video games are displayed in a tiny rectangular box that takes up roughly half of the screen. I played it on my Sylvania 20" EDTV, and the display size was about 10 inches, 12 at the very most! It was so small, that it was almost impossible to read the text in the game! And what's more, there's no option to stretch the image to fit your screen! (C'mon even my old GameBoy player for the GameCube could do that!!!)

Put simply, these cables are completely useless unless you own a large (32"-51") TV with component outs, otherwise it's going to be too small to enjoy playing it on the TV.
Sure, you can watch UMDs on your TV with it, but DVDs look better anyway, and you can watch your UMDs on TV with the much cheaper PSP Composite Cable.

NOT RECOMMENDED! Use the money that you were going to use on this cable on a game instead, you'll enjoy it more.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not Really Worth It
To make this short and simple, you want this cable to play on a big widescreen TV, right? Does it let you do that? Yes and no. You can play games on a TV, but it will not let you play in full or widescreen mode. It forces you to automatically play on a small rectangular box in the middle of the screen. That blows big time. You might as well stick to the PSP screen. Now for UMD's... save your cash. The UMD's actually look way better on the PSP itself. They do not look as good as a DVD on a TV, so why would you want to watch something of lesser quality than a DVD on a TV when it looks way better on the PSP itself?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this cable, I just bought 2 of these at Fry's Electronic for $19.99 each!
Right after I exchanged Composite for Component. I was overwhelmed that I couldn't stop breathing. When I got home, I have a hard time cutting the plastic container, so I use the blade to cut off around the edges. I connect my PSP Slim to my Sony Wega 55" LCD Projection HDTV and set the mode to Progessive or 480p under XMB's Display. It was stunning and still have black borderless but this couldn't stretch the screen size to fit my TV to fullscreen or widescreen. I really enjoy this cable and I highly recommend to buy this thing and not buying the composite if you want to display in-game or xmb to your TV screen.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - definitely.... recommended!
This product is definitely to be recommended for all those who has the PSP Slim with Video Outout. Though the video is not as good as the DVDs that we used to love, it is very satisfying of the output of the UMD on a High-Def TV. Just consider the fects that the UMD is small and has a capacity of 1.8GB max compare to the DVD that has a 8.5GB max. Someone just quoted that I have to get this product in Downtown San Francisco in Sony Metreon, and I got it... both the Component Cable and Composite Cable. I tried it and tested it. When you plan to get this cable (Component Cable), you can view all you wanted to watch over the TV. Unlike the Composite Cable, you cannot play any games this that cable. If you are a hardcore PSP player and wanted to view the game over the tv, this is the cable I would recommend. If you are a movie fanatic (like me), I would recommend getting both cable (Component and Composite). Way the go, Sony Staff! Now I can watch all my UMDs both my regular TV and my HDTV! Keep up the good work!
