I think the PS2 Slim is a great console if you consider its price. It has a lot of games available and its very easy to play.

I hope this one works longer than my previous PS2 which died after 4months at minimum play.

Broke about 45 minutes after turning it on. The screen went blank and the power light went red and stayed that way. Returned it to Amazon, waiting for my refund.

Having played the original PS2s the only positive thing I can say is that the games load faster. I am very disappointed with the slim PS2. It will not load any of my code devices for Gran Turismo. I play only racing games and I feel I wasted $129.99. I have sent my old PS2 in for repair by Sony. It only costs $45 plus shipping to have it repaired and comes with a 30 warranty. That is what I should have done in the first place. I would rate the slim PS2 at a minimal 2 out of 10. If you have older versions of code devices like Gameshark, Sharkport, or AR Max version 3.06 or earlier they will not work on the slim. Buyers beware.
