We bought this game for our Grandson for Christmas..it is a great game and lots of fun but very poorly made. The guitar stopped working..the drum foot pedal broke the first few days.
We contacted the company (as was stated on the box) and received a complaint number and no further contact!! We called Amazon and you took great care of us. You sent us a whole new set at no charge and we are thrilled with your care for your customers!!
The second foot pedal has since broken!! It is so poorly made and of light plastic. Our Grandson has found a site on the internet selling wooden replacement foot pedals for around $30..guaranteed not to break!! We are thankful for that but it is a dirty shame that this should have to be an extra purchase to be able to use the game!!
Thank you for helping us and please do get after this company..they are terribly disappointing and unconcerned about their customers!!

Rock Band takes everything Guitar Hero has and kicks it into Overdrive. Playing the Guitar is not as challenging as in GH, but the fun is still there. The Drums is where Rock Band really shines and is what will provide the most challenge. All of this is just Single Player. If you play with a full band, this game can blow GH away with it's fun factor. It's so much better to get everyone involved, especially if you have someone brave enough to sing! The music is top notch. I honestly can't say there's a song I don't like. Even songs I haven't listened to or cared about for years become cool again once my friends and I "play" them for real. Also, Rock Band comes out with new Downloadable content all the time. If you don't mind paying for them, there are 50 songs available right now (Feb 8th) and 12 more in the month of March. The Who, Nirvana and Metallica have all said that they will provide entire albums for download as well, but no dates on those.
Overall, if you want the next level of what Guitar Hero offers and you have a lot of friends, this is a must have.

Pros: This is one of the best games I've ever played for any console for all time! As long as you love music (and like at least a few of the songs included in the game), you are SURE to have fun playing this game. The enjoyment is multiplied when playing with a group, so don't be shy to share with your friends!
Cons: There have been reports of some instrument failures, but Harmonix will replace anything that is faulty. One of the biggest concerns is the drum bass pedal can break during play, but this usually only happens when someone is particularly forceful (mine remains intact after many hours of play). However, many third party online solutions exists to reinforce the pedal so you can pound away on it! I would CERTAINLY NOT use the aforementioned issues to detract from purchasing thins game. The instruments are not low quality, I just wanted to point out that some issues have arisen.

I love Rock Band. We all play it and have fun with 4 players. Perfect for anyone over 7. The drums make it by the way.
Now...a few things that must be said...
1. Guitar Hero Guitar does NOT work with it for PS3 (it does on Xbox 360)
2. They need to get the guitars out for sale very soon. I had to buy 2 sets and sell the rest of the other set on ebay becsuse I am not patient enough to wait for 4/1/08.
Over look thoose few things and it is awesome!!!

I have played Rock Band everyday since I bought it and if anyone had ever told me that my wife would love to play the drums and sing rock music I would have told them they were crazy. We both are in our 50's and I can't believe the joy and fun this game has brought into our home, sometimes it's 1:00AM and we are still rocking away and the drums have really helped with my wife's sore wrist.She does a great deal of her work typeing on the computer and is on the verge of Carpal Tunnel in both wrist and this has really helped.
The music in this game is fantastic and brings back many memories of playing in a band after Highschool and playing songs from the 60's, 70's, 80's and beyond.The only thing I can say bad about the game is they don't have a practice mode in the game for the drums where you can just play on your own and the other thing is the number of songs from other big bands such as Van Halen,Eric Clapton,Led Zepplin,Grand Funk Railroad and Deep Purple.I just finished one of the game magazines and read about a patch for the game is going to come out and fix the problems along with more songs from days gone you will be able to earn during the game and also be able to download.My son has Rock Band and GH III and he rates the Rock Band over the GH III which sells more games but most people don't know what they are missing, on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 9.75.
