Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of the Top Games on the PSP
First, I want ot say that a lot of the games on the PSP are mediocre, games brought over from other systems, or just plain bad. This one is not.

Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters is a huge step forward in PSP games. It improves on graphics, music, gameplay, and replay value. All in all I would say it's in the top 5 best games on the PSP today.

Storyline- The story line is great. This is one thing the Ratchet and Clank series does well all of the time. This story is completly new and it compels you the whole way through. There's a lot of twists and turns in the plot and that's what makes it interesting. I think this game has the 2nd best story in the series besides Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal.

Gameplay- Size Matters is perfect for the PSP. High Impact did a great job overhauling the controls so you can play easily on the PSP. The game has fun weapons, flying missions, mini-games like a robot football game and destruction derby, many different types of enemies, plenty of different worlds, and much more. Size Matters isn't the repetitive shooter type game either. Along with wiping out your enemies, you solve puzzles, use gadgets to get through certain places, etc.

Graphics- Like I said in my intro, the graphics are amazing. I would say they are the best on the PSP. All the characters are detailed, smooth, and look great. The different worlds you go to each have their own theme and they all have great scenry, etc. Also, the colors in this game look so vibrant on your LCD screen. It's awsome.

Music- The music for this game matches each mood, world, etc. If your on an important mission like fighting a "boss", the music is fast paced and exciting. If your on a calm mission like the training session at the beginning of the game, the music is fun and quirky. The music is creative and fitting to the game.

Replay Value- The replay value on this game is great. You have to beat the normal game and challenge mode twice just to get all the armor and weapons. If you want to upgrade all of your weapon to the top level, you'll play for even longer. Plus, you can find all of the Titanium Bolts, skill points, ect. too. Even when you have all of that done, you'll still want to play the game over and over. It's that fun. Also, there is a great multiplayer mode too. You can get online and play against the world. There is just so much to do on this game, it's unbelievable.

The only complaint I have about this game is that when you play it for a while, a 1 or 2 second pause will occur. It doesn't affect you game, but it is rather annoying.

Other than that, I think this is the best game out there for the PSP.

Buy it and I promise you that you'll love it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Size Matters...
I read some other reviews for this game about how it's too short and that the game play is better on the PS2 console; well this is a game that was made for a portable system. It is short but you need to play it at least 3 times to get all the weapons and it's still fun on the third time through. It has multi-player content so you can play that over and over again. Its controls are great for being on a portable system of course a full console would play better but, Size Matters...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome adventure!
Ok, I'm a little bit older than the average PSP owner. Or at least, I'm guessing that I am. Considering that I'm over 30... (gasp)

That being said, this is my first Ratchet and Clank game and probably the first time I'm playing anything in the jumping puzzle solving genre. And I have to admit that this is a really great game.

Load times are super low. Compare this to Dungeon Siege and other games where you're waiting 30 seconds for the game to start.

The graphics are sharp and crisp. I was playing this in full sunlight and could make out the characters just fine.

The puzzles are hard but not impossible (so far). I love the mini-game puzzles. There's even one that is almost identical to Lemmings but done in the R&C format.

The music and sounds work quite well. There's no point where I wanted to turn the music off.

Overall, I'm hooked! I see a lot of sleepless nights coming.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Small game... Big Price
I was very excited like many for the introduction of Rachet and Clank for the PSP and couldnt wait untill it came out. Like anyone with a brand new game, I played it a lot the first couple of days trying to beat it a soon as possible. But, i soon realized the in no time I was one the last level in two days and I didnt spend every waking moment playing the game. This was a dissapointment because all the other games have been pretty indepth. I understand that it is for the PSP, but it seemed way to short of an adventure to me. Now on to other things, the grafics of the game were, I thought, good and still had the old Rachet and Clank that we knew in the old days. There were some glitches like any other games, but it can be anoying. The plot of the game seemed a little cheezy if you ask me but i made the best of it. In all, I like the game but was dissapointed because they made it look like a Big game and it wasnt. I would recomend to buy this game on sale instead of full price. Hpefully they will come out with a predisesor to size matters, but in this game, there is no size.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Fun...if you don't mind repetition
This game is a technical accomplishment due to the graphics that could be the best on the PSP system to date. The gameplay and controls, however, bring this game down significantly. The camera works ok for the most part, but during frantic battles, you notice its shortcomings very quickly. The lack of second control stick severely hampers you ability to turn and see what's around you.

Other annoyances also contribute to the downfall of the gaming experience. The levels are generally large, which means if you do not make a commitment of 30-minutes to finish the level, you will be forced to replay the bulk of the level. Some gamers may not have problems with this, but I personally dislike repetition; the same enemies at the exact same locations, using the identical attack patterns...it gets old very quickly. To add to this frustration, the weapons you are given are seldom "up to the task" in defeating the enemies during the first encounter. In many instances, you are forced to fight them at least two or three times, during which your health levels up. This just feels like the game developers artificially tried to lengthen a game that is already short.

The hoverboard races, Clank giant robot sequences, are all quite bland. If you have played most of the R&C series, this will not bring any excitement at all, but feel very "been there, done that".

Overall, I must give it a 3-stars out of 5. Worth a rental, but not a buy.
