Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The BEST DRIVING SIMULATOR EVER!
Really, let me tell you that this is not a game "per-se"... it really is a driving simulator.. I owned a Nissan 350 Fairlady (real life), and when I drove this car on GT5, it brought back some memories. It's as real as it gets..
Do NOT doubt to buy this sim.. I really recomend it, as an "amateur race car driver", it really helps on your driving skills.. believe it, or not.
Worth every penny, can't wait to get the full version, and I will.

JUST BUY THIS SIM, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - forumla ferrari
the other reviews do a great job, but i didn't see the Ferrari F2007 mentioned. it's a bit of a chore to pass your s class events, but once you do, it's an absolute blast to get to drive the formula one car. as of may 1, you can race against other players online with the formula one cars. great game, can't wait for the full release.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Oops, they did it again...
GT is a game renouned for it's realism. Except, there's no crash damage. Again! With the massive storage capacity of Blu-Ray discs, why couldn't they have incorporated crash damage into the game? It makes no sense to leave that out. Even GTAIV has crash damage and it's not focused on racing. How about some variable weather too?

Aside from those gripes, it looks great on screen.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - No damage
Ever since I've played the demo I was looking forward to this game, hoping that they would eventually add in a feature that would show realistic damage. The cars are beautiful, the backdrops for the tracks are breath taking and the handling of the cars are pretty good. The only thing that hurts the game in my opinion is when you smack into guardrails at 75+ mph and have zero damage done to your car. Or say you're driving and knock your opponent in the rear. You receive no damage, and it barely affects your driving.

The tracks are pretty fun to play, and a little frustrating at times.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Looking past the "eye candy" graphics...this game hasn't changed in 10 years.
My PS3 is connected with a HDMI cord on a Sony Bravia 46" LCD HDTV....and GT5 Prologue looks amazing.

But aside from looks (and engine sounds), the game is a huge letdown.
The gameplay has changed very little from the first edition of this franchise in ....was it 98' ?
Anyway, I think Polyphony should concentrate on more important things than realistic graphics....like gameplay, AI and an overhauled penalty system during the S class races

If it wasn't for Microsoft's failure rate of the XBox 360, I would have opted for getting Forza 2 ....a much better and realistic driving/racing simulation.
