I've owned and played this 60Gb PS3 for a little over 6 months now, I've encountered no problems at all so far. The versatility of the system is incredible, Unbelievable Games*, great Blu-Ray Movies*, Music, Pictures, Videos*, etc... all run great!!
I'm a hardcore gamer, I play around 4-5 hours a day everyday and not once has the system overheated or anything like that... Yes, the fan is a little noisy sometimes, but you won't even notice it if you're in the middle of a game with just a regular volume level.
All in all, a great purchase... If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy it again without even thinking it twice!
If you're lucky enough to still find a 60Gb out there, make sure to get your hands on it and don't let go of it... These are collectibles now!!

I got the PS3 60gb for Christmas 2007 and it is the best choice for a game console and blu-ray player. The 60gb model has full PS2 and PS1 compatability so if you want to play thousands of cheap older games while waiting for more PS3 games to come out go ahead. The PS3 graphics are amazing in 1080p when viewed on a large screenToshiba TALEN 65HM167 65" 1080p DLP HDTV, however even though some PS3 60's came with a blu-ray movie(mine included Talladega Nights) Sony does NOT include an HDMI cable. I bought this cableInspire 1080p (6.6ft) 2M HDMI PS3 Cable 1.3b Certifiedand have been very happy with the money you save buy yourself some games and blu-rays. Also before using update the OS as mine came ver. 1.1 and was safely updated to 2.1 by downloading and installed via internet and SD card to avoid potential corrupt file problems with the online method. Vibration feedback is not included on the SIXAXIS controller, but the DUAL SHOCK 3 contoller is available on order from Hong Kong, and includes vibration in PS3 and PS2 games. So go enjoy yourself a game or movie tonight.

Muy Bueno.... Arrived fast and on time..... I love all the great features it brings to my home....... Now I just have to wait for a game to release...lol

This is one sleek piece of machinery! First thing that you notice about the PS3 is the absence of sound. I thought that it would be quite noisy when playing games, but that is not the case. Second, the wireless controllers are very nice. They are lighter than the PS2 controllers, and they may be a tad smaller. I do, however, miss the vibration function. It really adds to the gaming experiencing. I've read that sony will remedy this oversight soon. Next, Sony has suceeded in creating not just an amazing gaming system, but a multimedia entertainment system. With this system, you have the ability to browse the internet, store & download pictures, creat slide-shows, and import your favorite CDs onto the Hard Disk Drive. You can watch Blu-Ray movies. The system interacts seemlessly with The Playstaion Network, allowing you to download backgrounds, demos & themes for free, not to mention expandable content for your favorite PS3 games for a small cost. There is even the Remote Play Function, which allows your PS3 to interact with your PSP. Come on, how cool is that! Bottom Line: This is a must buy for any gamer, fanboy, techie, gadget-geek. While the cost is a bit much, the multi-functionality of this system makes it well worth the cost. Note: If you own any PS2 games, then you will need a 60GB or 80GB PS3, for backwards compatibility. The 40GB PS3 are not backwards compatible.
