The second Battlefront is much better than the first. First off. You get to play as Jedi, which is really fun. You can also play as other characters, such as Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Han Solo, and much more depending on which side your on, Rebels, or Empire. Second. You get to play in space. It's real fun, but I find it much harder than when you play on foot. Third. It has a much better story. Instead of going around, planet, to planet doing the objectives, which is what the first Battlefront did. This time, your part of the 501, the best of the best. But then Order 66 comes in, and the rest of the game is about how the Empire came to rise and fall. Fourth. You get different playable carachters. You can play as the Rebel Smuggler, who has a shotgun, and fusion cutter. The fusion cutter can now repair machines and splice into enemy vehicals. When you get to one hundred, the pilot and co-pilot fall out and can be killed. Fifth. Assasin missions are in the game. Even though there are only two, they're fun. The first is assinating the Queen of Naboo. The second is assinating the three Rebel leaders on planet Yavin. Sixth. The game seemed harder than the first Batllefront. The first one was so easy that I beat everything in the game in three days. This one was much harder. There were some levels that took me a couple of tries to beat, unlike the first one that took only about ten minutes. So all in all I thought this game was much better than the first one.

I've had this game since it first came out and I am still not sick of it. I think anyone that enjoys the Halo multiplayer would enjoy this game. Lucasarts improved just about everything you can think of from the first Battlefront. The story mode and galactic conquest (strategy mode) are excellent additions to the basic Battlefront where you simply take over bases and kill the enemy (but thank goodness they still kept that in this game). I do miss some of the old scenarios, but a lot of the new scenarios are really good and the new controls make Battlefront II totally worth playing. I love the improved controls, new characters, and the new space battles. The ability to sprint is an ingenious addition. In most games you can walk, or run. In this game the characters have the ability to run very fast by sprinting. They can also kneel, lay, dive, and roll. I hope all future action games adopt this. I do wish the characters had the ability to punch someone, after all they can do just about everything else. The ability to change your character at bases you control is a nice addition. Engineers with the ability to repair things or take over occupied enemy vehicles is great. There is a nice array of weapons and the ability to play as specialized characters such as Darth Vader or Boba Fett is awesome. The space battles are really fun, except when you board the enemy ship there is only limited areas that you have access to. The graphics are great in HD.
Pros:
Controls
ability to sprint
change characters at bases
engineers that repair things and steal enemy vehicles
graphics
multiple scenarios
a lot of characters
play as specialty characters (jedi)
space battles
multiple playing options (strategy mode, story mode, and basic Battlefront mode)
Cons:
characters don't have the ability to punch someone
boarding an enemy ship in a space battle has very limited access to the enemy ship
Some of the fun scenarios from the first Battlefront are not in this one
The option of flying multiple ships, playing multiple characters, using turrets in both space battles and regular battles, and all of the multiple things your characters can do make this game worth playing.

You only got a star because it was a mandatory field.
Not only was the horrendous postage not clearly disclosed at point of sale, but the game when arrived was not compatible with Australian playstation consoles...something to do with PAL.
We have all learned the enormous advantages of shopping locally.
Thanks for the lesson.

Battle Front is one of my favorite games of all time. When I first picked it up and put it in my ps2 I loved it. It had smoothe gameplay, clear colorful graphics, non glitched up split screen, awsome weapons units and veichles, as well plently of exciting battlefields. So what happens when I put Battle Front 2 in my ps2 expecting an improved yet same experiance? Well lets compare both titles....
BF1
GOOD
smooth gameplay
pretty graphics
2 battlefields per planet
great units, weapons, and veichles
working squad commands
air battles on land
BAD
lame campaign
boring galactic conquest
no space battles
pathetic AI
BF2
GOOD
jedis
space battles
episode 3 planets
starfighter maneuvers
awsome new charecter classes
good campaign
good galactic conquest
improved AI
hunt and ctf modes.
BAD
chunky gameplay
chunky glitched up splitscreen
not as good graphics
no land air battles, with exception of Hoth
random glitches
missing some important battles
some crappy campaign stories
hardly any working squad commands
no information on your starting cp
There is some other tidbits I missed out on, but nothing important.
Overall BF2 is worth the 20 bucks, but pick up the first one, since it is stll far more addictive and includes some stuff BF2 didn't.

I like this game a lot. It is cool that your get to play as a jedi. Two things that I didn't like too much is that some controls are different and you can't really be a sniper. Everyone sees you immedietly. I do not think that you can go prone or I just haven't figured out how to do it yet. Overall it is a really good game and there is a lot of action.
