I highly highly recommend this title to a mature audience ONLY. The language is very bad here. Yes there is lots of killing but it really isn't that graphic. The language is the main con. I wish they wouldn't trash up games like that. You can have a great game without the profanities. I know they are trying to fit the setting but still they should include a language toggle option. But setting that aside, this game is sooo much fun! There are many many hours of gameplay here, and that's just counting the 100+ missions for the storyline. There are the usual taxi, firefighter, etc. levels to do as well if you are one of those who want 100% completion. I love being able to modify the cars too and change them into hotrods. I did find a bug though were I have lost a lot of cars in my garages around the city. It didn't matter if I have one car or three in my garages, I still lost a number of them. But all you gotta do is go to the casino and win big so you will have plenty of money to replace the hotrods. But that annoinance aside, this game is well worth playing indeed. Highly recommended.

I loved the previous 2 GTA games(III and Vice City) and was quite looking forward to San Andreas ever since it was announced,However it turns out it was just the same as what i`d playedyed before except the fact there is a new story,bicycles and RPG elements and that was pretty it.
I liked it for about 3 days then i started feeling bored.
here is my specs for the game:
Graphics 2/10:ARE YOU SERIOUS? GTA has had crap graphics since GTA III and they never changed them(although i got over them then as it was so fun @ first) SA is not any different in visuals than VC-Non acceptable Rockstar!-Oh yaeh this game has TERRIBLE glitches peoples cars driving upside down-gosssssh
Sound:8/10:Yeah the music and chat shows are quite entertaining to listen to.
A.I. 3/10:Same ol` thing people run into walls(and glitch through them too) the cops are the same thing as in Vice City-stupid and unfair they still arrest you but when others hit you they still walk along as if nothin` happended.
The traffic still crash into each other and people still walk past dead bodies as if nothing has happened(its laughable in GTA III but is just pathetic now).
characters:Nutheads that think they are hard-CJ is an ugly sissy i actually prefer Raiden from MGS2 than friggin CJ.
All the other characters suck-characters in Vice City and III rocked.
theme: uses the suck-like-hell "gangsta in da ghetto" which is the most boring and frggin ugly theme GTA may ever use especcially with the characters-ugly CJ,Fat retaard Big Smoke and whoever.
overall:4/10-one of the worst GTA games i have ever played(except the sh!itty PS1 originals).
However:I reccoemd this game to you IF you ain`t played GTA III or Vice City or if you are one of those retards who like "ghangsta in da ghetto" themes.
I hope GTA I.V(GTA4) will be better than this krap-i know it will i hope its set on something OTHER than gangsta in the ghetto and since it will be on PS3 i expect AT LEAST-MGS2 style graphics-its rumored to be set in London so i hope it uses that style Britishgangsters use(cockney accents,drinking beer,Informal words-and not to be rasist or anthing but WHITE) and i hope the main character is as cool if not cooler than Tommy Vercetti(from Vice City)-So i DO have high expectation for GTA4 which i hope will be one of my games when i get a PS3 sooner or later(i also want MGS4,UT2007 etc.).
San Andreas was VERY overated it got a 9.6 of Gamespot-MY AZZ! it deserves soemthing more like a 6.5.
There were THREE great games out in 2004:
Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas
HALO 2
Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater
and i must say that GTA:SA was NOT as fun or exiting as MGS3 and HALO 2 were-even if GTA4 is good i don`t think i will ever like it as much as i like Metal Gear or HALO(or Far Cry,Resident Evil,Splinter Cell,Hitman).
Plus freeroam style sandbox games are getting VERY old and that all includes:
-the GTA series
-The "Driver" series
-The Getaway games.
-DEFINATLY TrueCrime.
I mean its alway these 4 games getting hyped(Mostly GTA) and NONE of them seem to desrve it any more.
The only sandbox game i tend to like now is "Mercenaries:Playground Of Destruction" i don`t know why maybe its the fact that theres MORE to do otehr than getting fat or driving around in a plastic car(as they seriously do look plastic in GTA).
so GTA:SA SUX.

it's easy for people to look at this game and read the book by its cover. the truth is that it's very unpolished. The person who designed the flight mechanics in this game should probably be fired and never allowed to touch a computer again.

I have this gta, Vice City, the original GTA, and I used to own 3. This game has an environment 4x the size of VC give or take. It also has alot more things to do after you beat the campeighn. The ability to swim is a tremendous accomplishment as opposed to all of the previous GTAs. one thing is that if you play this ones campaighn, and have played VC's campaighn, i think youll see that VC's is alot cooler that SA's. The soundtrack in VC is also alot better, if you like the 80's, but who doesn't? there isn't 1 song in VC that I dont like, but this one has many annoying tracks in it like the band Creed. though it has good bands like Guns N' Roses, so it has potential. I think that VC also has a bigger arsinal, but this one has a nice one. the ability to costomise most of the vehicles in this game is also nice. and this game also has MORE vehicles than VC. its funny though because I acually like VC better, just because of the soundtrack, main charicter, and campaighn. o yeah I forgot to mention that Carl Johnson, the Charicter you play as in SA, is not nearly as cool as Tommi Vercetti in VC. so yeah this game is good, you should pick it up, but if you don't already have it, you should get Vice City too.

The first time I played this, I couldn't stop at all. One time when my friend spent the night, we were up until 5 in the morning (We played for 9 straight hours and only made 10% of that time). So trust me, it's very long. It took me over 100 hours to beat it 100%, so you'll never get bored.
In this game you got nothing but freedom. What you mainly do is missions, earn money, spend money, work out at the gym, eat to stay healthy, shoot, kill, steal, drive, fly (from jetplanes to passenger airplanes), etc. It's hard to explain it all in a review because there's just so much to do. It's even better than the previous GTA's and they were even good. I also like the character alot. He's just cool and "gangsta" to me. The only problem is the language. For me it's not a problem, but for kids (and even those strict parents) it may be too much for them and I mean like every 10 seconds comes the words S*** and F***. But if you can see pass that, then there shouldn't be a problem.
Overall, if you don't mind hurting (killing) people and the bad language, than this game will keep you entertained for hours on end. Trust me, you won't regret it!
