Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great game.
first off..i just have to laugh about a 9 year old girl even wanting this game, and a parent getting it for them. but anyways, i love this game. parents who dont want their kids to play this or buy this, theres not really any killing missions as far as ive played through(im %20.00 throught though) most missions are a huge challeng, like flying an airplane in the zero missions, lowrider hydrolic contests, dance offs, races, not much killing missions. most parents are scared of the strong sexual content, but really, is your kid gonna pay $20.00 to watch a car rock? they dont move to the back seat, the dont even touch eachother, they sit in there own seats and the car rocks. if your letting your 9 year old get this, thats a probelem, but if its your teenager, thats different. this game has gotten perfect reviews alot, and has a great story. its a VERY long game too. and what about hot coffee you ask? its gone. go to target and buy the platinum hit, or the second edition and its very edited. and the guys complaining about rockstar changing the game from AO to M are really really big pervs that need a life. first off, no place would sell and AO game, and why would you want to watch video game characters haveing sex? so seriosly, parents, this game is a very good game, sure theres violence, but its a fun game.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Best Game...and AO Clarification
This game is great! If you've ever played a "Grand Theft Auto" before, you'll love this game!

However, a word about rating this game AO...

Originally, only the PC version could be changed, but that required a special modification, which had to be downloaded & was not advertised on any official site. Rockstar still claims that it is ONLY accessed by downloading this hacker mod.

Then, the people at GameSpot were able to unlock the banned content on the PS2 version. After that, Rockstar said that it was "unfinished content" that wasn't released with the game, but remained on the disc. Here, Rockstar was at fault. They should have removed it from the finalized disc. However, to unlock it using an 'Action Replay Max' device & enter several cheat codes to access it.

Rockstar should have wiped this content from the disc, BUT, I will remind people that the game was rated "M for Mature". Items such as: intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, and/or strong language, may appear in "M" rated games.

Oddly, that sounds like a RATED "R" MOVIE. Those who have 8, 9, & 10 year-olds wouldn't take their children to movies which incluse ALL those classifications, would they? I didn't think so! So, why would you let your young children play this game?

ESRB DIDN'T need to rate this game AO, and ruin it for those who are "emotionally able" to handle it. Stores DON'T need to ban it, they need to ENFORCE their "M" ratings. Movie theaters WON'T sell "R" rated movie ticketsa to minors, so why should a store sell an "R" rated game to a minor?

Without the special downloads & cheats, this game WON'T show content of a sexual nature. Without it, it's just like the other GTA's, but with a little more cursing.

The stores need to pay more attention, instead of just trying to make a quick buck. More inportantly, parents should regulate what their children play.

The best way? Read an Amazon.com Review!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - About the remarks concerning this particular video game
"I have never killed anyone and I have been playing video games for over 25 years."

Get a life.

Antonino, in looking back through the last 60 reviews, I see nothing where anyone is attributing a violent game as the cause of violent behavior in real life. I've worked in law enforcement for 12 years and know the facts. Your review is best left on the shelf, for someone who is apparentley over the age of 25, you sure do a great job acting like a fourth grader who didn't get thier turn at "show and tell".

Violent games have not been overly found to contribute to violence, but to me it's more about overall respect. Like the one reviewer said, why can't you also be a cop trying to catch the criminals? I see your types all the time: self righteous, diarrhea of the mouth about things you know nothing about. Noone in the political structure is trying to take away your games, or mine. That is why we have the ratings systems for games, so that little kids don't easily get ahold of them. From there, you are looking at people who are upheld by the law, regardless of playing games or not, because they are legally adults, over the age of 18.

In looking at your "statement" it is apparent to me you need to stop spending so much time playing video games and start educating yourself in the current legislation that is or is NOT currently out there to change the way video games are developed, bought, and sold.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A fun and entertaining game with a world to explore
San Andreas is a great game, and just gaming aside, it's wonderful to be allowed to roam around and explore and entire city, as well as all of the out of town places that dot the landscape of hills and forests. With this game you also have a GPS system so you can track your progress, or go back to a particular place, much more easier. The vast levels as well as the immediate rewards and retension that come with trying to build up your gang and escape the law makes for hours of fun play!

I am a bit confused on the review by Antoninio. I agree with some points, but am confused as to why you spent paragraph after paragraph of your review in some sort of tirade against political opinions which have absolutely nothing to do with San Andreas. This is a place to tell people why or why not you liked the game, and if people deem it helpful or not, it may give them better confidence in purchasing San Andreas...or not.

You write very well so I suggest that you stick to reviewing and please leave your political statements to the likes of blogs or chat rooms that are tailored for those kinds of subject matter. Again, I know a great many "right wing" fanatics that play this game, so where your going with that I am not quite sure. It sounds like you are the one that is paranoid of a takeover instead of them.

Really Antonino, I don't think we're going to be losing our games, despite the current political oppresion, video games are the last thing anyone should be worried about. If you are, then you really should find something better to do with your time than sitting in front of a television all day long.

I agree with some of your points, I dont think it's things like this game that bring on a school shooting and the such. However, I just think it's reviews like yours that ruin the amazon review experience for the consumer who is thinking about purchasing something, and trying to increase their knowledge of it by reading reviews.
