Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good concept but lacked good development
I was pleased with this game. It had a novel approach to survival horror.

I do have a few complains/concerns

First it is a little on the short side. Not awful for a survival horror game, but still it could have been longer

Second, it controls very poorly. I found myself wanting a more Resident Evil style movement system in which the main character didn't change direction when the camera angle switched.

Finally, while the premise for the first two chapters is GREAT, the game really just drops the idea half way through. They had a really good thing going and then they only focused on the main character and her family which I found to be pretty boring compared to the cool serial killers in the first half.

Overall a good game, but just feels like they didnt follow through with the idea they started with.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - It Could Be Better...
The gist of the game: a young girl by the name of Alyssa is about to turn fifteen, and upon returning home for her birthday, she recieves a disturbing letter from her mother to not come home from boarding school, and to keep a low profile until Alyssa's birthday has passed. Confused (and stupid in my opinion) Alyssa returns to her home, but her mother is missing; instead, a mysterious cloaked man is there and tells Alyssa that her mom is not coming back. Trying to push back any fear of the man -- determined, she starts searching for clues to where her mother could of went...

In each chapter of the story, you encounter one particular villain of a ceartain time era (along with countless ghosts and...moths?) whom is keeping a restless, but innocent victim/ghost from "going into the light." As Alyssa, you must use your wits and holy water, to find out how to get rid of these villains and to bring peace to the ghosts you meet in the game.

The gameplay could be better, because Alyssa runs (let alone walks) very slow, and villains catch up to you pretty quickly. The puzzles are not too hard to figure out (but if you need help, I refer getting the guide or looking on the internet for clues in case you get lost). The only means to fight off the villains is to hit them with holy water, otherwise, your only other options are to hide or find a certain spot to 'fight back.'

My Opinion Of The Whole Game: The story of the game is strong and makes more sense in the beginning, but after the second chapter...I think the story takes a bit of a downfall. Not only does the story get more confusing, but the villains become less...frightening to run from. Sure they still spook you from popping out of nowhere in certain places, but otherwise, some of those villains could use a "Silent Hill" makeover.
Also, the movements of certain characters could be more 'believable', for example: Dennis, Alyssa's childhood friend. He has to be the most retarted character I EVER seen in a videogame. By the way he moves, he's either been eating gallons of sugar, or on drugs (or maybe both!)
The villains could also have more dillagoue (whatever how you spell it) in this game. The most annoying would have to be Chopper, for he has basically only one line to say, which is "Nice Trick!"-- followed by this drunken-up laughter that sounds completely silly.
Last but not least, Alyssa's costumes. When you beat the game and start a new one (Hard Mode) you get a key to her dresser, and with that, you can change into different costumes. To me, why can't videogames ever give girls NORMAL outfits? I'm a girl, and it wouldn't hurt to see one wear a nice skirt with some boots, or T-shirt and jeans combo; and the 'secret outfit' can be pajamas or something! I know most games give girls sexy outfits, but this girl is barely turning 15 for crying out loud!

Overall, if you're a fan of Silent Hill and Resident Evil, then this game probably isn't for you. If you're the type that are afraid of horror, but would like to start off on an 'easy' one, then this game is for you. This game may not be as fritening as Fatal Frame or Silent Hill, but it still has its spooky/thriller moments.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great
super good short but good

buy fatal frame

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not as good and great as Clock Tower Pt.1
There are simple reasons to know why Clock Tower 3 is just completely dull:

1.The game is just too short.

2.It isn't fun as the first Clock Tower.

3.It needs better gaming.

Toss it away or just rent it instead.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Do Not buy this game!!!
This game is a complete waste of time. It is just too hard to play. I think I know how to play video games, having played them since they first came out in the early 70's. Having a monster chasing you all the is not my idea of fun. And having 3 shots of water as your only weapon sucks! You die before you can get to refill. When you use water it only last a few moments. After playing for 2 days I QUIT! I wish Amazon would let me put a zero in the star ratings.
