Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Music From The Dancing Queens
There is no question about music games. They've really become the most popular things in the video game industry since sliced bread. With the mammoth success of rock games like Huitar Hero and Rock Band, there really is not much for anyone who wants a escape away from the hard rock appeal of these games. Well, Singstar has shown to have a bit of success over the years for the PLaystation 2 and recently with the PS3 as well. But, there is now a chance for everyone to say Mama Mia! With one of the most popular guilty pleasures of the 1970's with a video game sing-a-long of their own, ABBA, has made its way into the next level, and reintroduce their greats to that next generation of Dancing Queens.

Singstar ABBA for the Playstation 3, brings in the excitement and rapture of the Sweedish Pop guilty pleasure group into their own Singstar game. The game is simple and straight-forward for anyone who has been a huge fan of the group for years. The graphics looks great, and the songs sound better than ever, as you see and sing with the classics tracks from ABBA including Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Take A Chance On Me, and many other favorites. While there are those who might not appeal into the game, unless you are a hard core ABBA fan, it nevertheless gives you an alternative from those who just are too eager to put on their dancing shoes with Dance Dance Revolution, or just strumming to the top of the charts with Guitar Hero.

All in all, while Singstar ABBA isn't a bad video game, it honestly isn't going to appeal to those hard core Singstar fans, who've bought the classic games from the PS2 or Playstation 3. However, if you're a fan of 70's music, or if you loved watching the movie with Mamma Mia! with Meryl Streep, you'll definitely want to try to put this into your system, and sing with ABBA.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Good songs, but MANY bugs need to be fixed
My wife loves ABBA so the songs make this title fun (and that's why I gave the fun rating 3 stars). But this PS3 version is UNBELIEVABLY BUGGY. Here's a short list of the bugs I've discovered so far:
1. If you quit the game, it relaunches itself.
2. When the game quits, its shuts the controller off too.
3. Its very difficult to connect to its online server.
4. Its song downloader doesn't use the built in download manager
5. Downloaded songs don't automatically get loaded until you restart the game. Then you hit Bug#2.
6. If you add a song to your cart, but your credit card on file expired, you lose your song selections.
7. If you press controller buttons during game launch, the game locks up the whole PS3 console.
8. During the intro, if you press continue or start, nothing happens. You have to wait for the WHOLE intro to finish... every single friggin time! Wasn't it enough I saw the intro ten times already???
I could write more bugs, but I'm tired of typing them up!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - ABBA The Video Game
I would give this a 4.5 but I'm going for 5. I happen to be a gamer and big fan of ABBA so this only makes sense that I got this game. The game was well made for the most part. They added 25 ABBA songs from offical videos they made. So there is no Lay All Your Love On Me or I have a dream. Each video is there full with single cover of each song which was a nice touch. There a few different modes, like single, battle, duet and pass the mic. I thought they could have made a Annifrid or Agnetha role playing mic, but it's really like that. A few songs like "Name of the Game" "Super Trouber", and "Take a Chance" use a duet feature or backvocal in stead of just switching off which no real thought of how the song goes. Besides that The best part of this game is online!! You can search other ABBA media and rate how well they sung the songs or the video content from PS3 eye, you can rate how well it was song and add some comments. Was pretty good game but I was hoping they could of have a role playing with mics but very good which I never would have though a game say if I was about five years ago and said "ABBA the video game" I would have said yeah right. Funny how ABBA is finaly getting some respect:) Stevie_Mark on PS3 will be singing Thank you for bringing this game to me:)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Game for ABBA and Singstar fans
This is ABBA Gold as Singstar. I love singstar and I cant sing, but this singstar is fun. If you grew up listening to the songs of ABBA or just became a fan after watching the movie Mamma Mia, you will enjoy this game. Yes, you only get ABBA on this disk, but oh what fun you will have. It is also interesting to think that they made all of those videos in the pre MTV era. This is a fun romp through musical history.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Disappointing even for ABBA fans
This game is only for ABBA fans. If you are not, don't bother. And even for ABBA fans, it is a great disappointment. ABBA's very popular songs like "I have a dream", "Honey, Honey", "Lay all your love on me", "Hasta Manana" are all missing. Especially, why they left out "I have a dream" is mind boggling. I gave three stars for fun rating because I'm a fanatic ABBA fan - I buy anything that has ABBA name on it. But overall this game doesn't deserve even one star. Truely sad.

(added later)
Also, since this game is released at the similar time of Mamma Mia, The movie, DVD release, I think that it could have been a good idea to have a Mamma Mia story mode in which a gamer can follow the movie's story line, and sing all the songs in sequence (which requires some slight changes in the lyrice also). But then alas, you can't, because this game is missing critical songs to do so!
Thought after thought, this game is still only ONE star! Nothing more !
