Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - BEWARE! NOT the same game as DORA Snow Princess on WII!
My daughter saw the commercial for Dora Saves the Snow Princess video game on television and HAD to have it. We do have both a Wii and a Nintendo DS but we got the DS version because she normally plays her games when we are out of the house and on the go. The commercial makes the game look exciting, with lush snow levels, shaking snow off trees and riding pegasus. It looked like a "lite" platformer for the preschool crowd.

This game is nothing like that.

VERY cheaply put together, its a rehash of mini games from Dora: Saves the Mermaids and even the new (and equally short and skimpy Diego: Dinosaur Rescue on DS). Shout into the microphone, see a still image of the box cover. Backpack asks what item to use from a selection of three or four. Choose one. See the still image again. The story will "move along" by presenting a few still screenshots from the tv episode with voice work. It's very cut and paste sounding and stilted. The lack of animation is disappointing. The lack of variety is disappointing. The simplicity is disappointing. Even my 2 year old can blow into a mic and shout a word on command.

My 4 year old finished the game in about 20-30 minutes. Then she was done and that was it. Others she goes back and plays again like Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony Pinkie Pie's Birthday Party. This one, like the very similiar and equally repetitive Diego DS game, bombed big time.
