Rating: - Not Entirely Compatible w iPod Touch 2G
From what information I could find on this product prior to purchase (it wasn't even listed on the CablesToGo web site), it was compatible with the iPod Touch (I have a 2G model). I thought having the ability to charge in the car would be very handy; it is supposed to work by plugging the FM Transmitter (more on that later) into the iPod and then plugging the car charger cable into the FM Transmitter. As soon as I plugged the the car charger into the cigarette lighter, a message popped up on the iPod saying that charging was not supported by the device. So, the car charger appears to be worthless for a 2G iPod Touch. As far as the FM Transmitter goes, it works fine inside a home, but in my car (Honda Civic), the reception was intermittent and noisy. Very disappointing - I hope Amazon will take this back.

I purchased this product, hoping that it would be of similar quality to other FM Transmitter products which sell at this product's list price (around $60.00).
I received this and opened it up. I pulled the Transmitter out of the packaging and couldn't believe how cheap it felt and looked. Added to that, you have to plug an adapter into it separately to power it if you want to charge your iPod. This should come with the charger connected to it already and it really doesn't feel or look like anything worth the list price. Even the sale price of around $25.00 was too much. I immediately packed this up to return it for my money back. Avoid wasting your time, don't buy this!

This kit includes everything you need (and more) for traveling with your ipod. All the components work fine and is less expensive than purchasing separately.
