Back in 2004, when Nintendo launched the DS, they really had revolutionized the way we play video games on the go. Since then, the system has done very well, exceeding the sales of even the hottest systems like Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. But, where there is a will, there is also a way to cheat too. Datel has made so many renditions of the action replay cheat enhancing device, exclusively for the DS. The first rendition was mainly made for powersaves, where you could only used saved files, without enhancing extras like jumping higher, or having infinite lives. There also is the standard edition, which you can actually unlock great codes for your favorite DS titles. Now, there is a new one that puts a bit more for your play on the go.
The new Action Replay DS Media Edition, brings in a new twist onto the already well-designed Action Replay for the Nintendo DS. This one, contains all the features from the regular DS edition, where you can download your favorite codes from the internet and the featured software for all your favorite DS titles like Guitar Hero: On Tour and New Super Mario Brothers, but you now can also hold all your favorite MP3 music and video files that you can watch on your DS system. Not only that, but this new action replay is updated so you can also manually install codes on your own, and it is now compatable for use with computers that run on the latest version of Windows Vista, whcih is a must for some DS owners, because the standard Action Replay version is not compatable to Windows Vista, just Windows XP.
My only gripe with the new Action Replay DS Media Edition is that right now, you can only find the new edition exclusively through the Datel website. The other one is that the new version of the Action Replay DS costs nearly almost double the price of the regular action replay. Still, it works as a great buy for anyone who has the Nintendo DS, and wants to not just cheat wherever they play their DS, but wants to rock out loud while cheating too.
