Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Guitar is amazing!
The guitar is awsome, it has two sets of frets! Looks as good as a real one. All my friends like to play, so we really get into the music!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Garbage
One word to describe this one. Garbage. The strum is not only way too squishy. It didn't even work unless you strummed up and HARD... This after I spent 2 days on the phone with amazon because after paying for 1 day shipping I got a delivery date 6 days away after an email saying that it had shipped the day I ordered it. The first Customer service rep I spoke to lied right to me. Told me how he was gonna contact the shipper and email me and refund shipping and contact me back about where it was. He did none of it and the second one I talked to had no idea. If you go through EA to replace the stupid thing it takes about 3 weeks unless you give them a CC they can charge for $125 before they send out a new one and a box for the old. Send it back here and it's 2 to 3 weeks before you get another one or your charge refunded. But they got their money though up front. Last time with amazon and last time with rock band guitars. It was just a very bad experience and a big pain in the butt to me.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A definite upgrade
I've owned all 3 versions of the RB guitar, first the wired, then the RB1 wireless, and now this one. I have to say that each one has been a significant upgrade.

I'll just briefly note the pluses from the RB2 wireless over the RB1 wireless in case you're on the fence about upgrading:

1) Silent frets - No longer do I hear my fingers releasing off the frets over the music, like I frequently did in RB1. Sometimes the loud frets would throw me off my rhythm if I was concentrating on upcoming notes, but I don't have to worry about that anymore.

2) Sturdier strummer - The strum bar is the same style as the RB1 model, except I don't feel like I'm going to break the darn thing off every time I strum it. While I never broke the old model, it just felt flimsier. It's still infinitely better than the noisy clicker strum bar that every GH guitar has.

3) More responsive Overdrive - Sometimes it seemed like my RB1 wireless wouldn't immediately respond when I lifted the neck to go into overdrive, which in turn often distracted me from hitting my notes and caused me to slip up. Whenever I tilt the RB2 wireless, however, it immediately goes into overdrive and allows me to focus on the song with nary a distraction.

4) Non-screw battery compartment lid - Thankfully they re-designed the battery lid to where you remove it and replace it by just squeezing the plastic hinge and popping it out/in. My RB1 wireless had a little screw in there that I had to bust out the Phillips screwdriver for every time if I needed to change out the batteries. So basically they trimmed a 10-minute process down to 2 minutes, which is nice if you're eager to get back to rockin'.

5) Overall better look - From the wood grain design on the neck to the sunburst design on the face, it's just a cooler-looking fake guitar to play when you're jamming out.

To summarize, the casual player can stick with his/her RB1 wireless but if you're an avid player and you've got $70 burning a hole in your pocket, you'll find this new model to be a welcome relief to previous small annoyances.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Rock On!!
The new wireless guitar for Rock Band 2 actually WORKS!! There were so many issues with the wireless they created for RB 1 I was sceptical to purchase this one but I did and it works great, no issues what so ever.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Annoyed.
I like the fret buttons, I like that they put a raised circle around the start button so that you don't accidentally pause the game while trying to turn on star power.

The auto-calibration is iffy. I went through the process about 20 times, and every time, no matter what I did, it came up with a message saying "we were not able to calibrate your video" followed by instructions to try again. However, it seems to be calibrated, so maybe the error message is an error.

The worst part, however, is the change to the strum bar. I flick it up and down pretty hard, which works great for me on the previous Rock Band guitars, but this one "bounces" too much and registers extra hits frequently. So if you hold it in your fingers and play that way, this guitar should be fine. If you "pick" at it, or flick it, then the guitar is virtually useless.

So in my case it's useless unless I completely change the way I play.
