Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love it! Sleek design, great protection. Don't use included plastic screen protector
I have used my Griffin iphone 3G wave case for going on 6 months, and love it. I have probably dropped my phone on the pavement from "purse height" 10 times, and onto the floorboard of my car 100 times and have avoided any damage whatsoever to my phone. (I have several friends who used no case, who are on their 3rd iphone in that same 6 months, having dropped and cracked the screen from a 12-18 inch fall onto a hard surface --a case for the iphone is a MUST). I have never found it difficult to get on or off, and I have to wonder if the negative reviewers who couldn't get it to fit well might have gotten the wave for original iphone instead of the 3G case (I was warned against this in the store after almost purchasing the wrong version). I should state, however, that I did not use the included plastic, somewhat thick, free floating screen protector because the holes did not line up well with the speaker and home key and it seemed that the screen was not as responsive. --I purchased separately a "stick on" screen protector (the 2 pack from the Applestore for $14.99), and put the case on after applying that screen protector (and I found no reduction in screen responsiveness). I like the silicon finish (somewhere in between rubber and plastic) which keeps it from sliding around if you set it on, say, the dashboard of your car.

I was nervous to buy this case because of the negative reviews on here. But I gambled on the positives and have not been disappointed.

Pluses:
- Great looking case, the Wave design is cool looking. I also like that the back is semitransparent so you can see the apple logo.
- Fits the iPhone tightly, not sure what the issue is with people not being able to put it together right. Just follow the instructions, and it fits perfectly.
- Not bulky at all, the phone does not feel much bigger at all with it on
- Provides a much needed grip. Before, I always felt a bit that the phone was about to shoot out of my hand if I squeezed too tight. This case provides enough grip in your hand, but it is not tacky/sticky plastic or rubber, so it does NOT get stuck in your pocket.

Negatives:
- Yes, the included screen protector is terrible. Do not use it. However, this does NOT detract from the rest of the case, it looks and works fine without the screen protector.

If you must have a screen protector, just buy one separately that got good reviews. Buy this for the excellent case.

when i first saw the Griffin wave, i thought it was a great and sleek case. i read a few reviews about the fit issue, but knowing someone with it, i knew it was just a matter of adjusting and getting the case to lock properly. the biggest problem i encountered was that the silicone on the case itself that gave it the grip started to chip after 2 days of use. probably from moisture. after a week the case looked disgusting and cheap from the silicone chipping away. what a disappointment. i bought the pink one and the color was great, too bad it started shedding.

This is a great case as long as you do NOT use the included screen protector. Go out and get yourself an anti-glare screen protector and put that on first. Then put the case on. Make sure you put the case on correctly! I have seen so many people use this case incorrectly. If the flaps are not tucked over and under the proper places, of course it's going to look funny.

One problem...The finish on the back of my case started peeling. I called Griffin and they sent me out a new one within days at no charge to me at all. It was so easy!!

Looks great. Very sleek. Great Customer Service. I highly recommend.

Positives- Its a great looking case. I love the feel and texture of it. Best looking case out there in my opinion and also comes with a clear film to protect the screen

Negatives- Putting on the film and case at the same time is a very difficult and tedious task. Unless you have your own screen protector, the process may take a while since the film isnt sticky. It also bubbles alot and it took me forever to apply it bubblefree. The case also does not fully close. I put it on properly but there is still space at all four corners. The spaces are pretty small though and not that much of a big deal to me. Have to wait until the first drop to see whether the case hugs it as tight as it does.

Overall im happy about how the case looks and feels. The screen protector is garbage and the case could have been made better to fit the phone.
