Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Spiderman Web of Shadows
2-d game play? VERY disappointed that a "new game" would come out in the year 2008 and be in 2-d. The left to right only screen action makes me feel like I was playing an old ATARI game. 1 thumb down.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Gets boring after a while
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows for the PSP plays pretty much like the PS2 version of the game; note the subtitle that reads Amazing Allies Edition. Instead of using the tried & true open world New York City playing style that has been implemented since Spider-Man 2 (and is used on the other versions of Web of Shadows), this PSP version is a 2-D side scroller-ish beat 'em up. Yeah, it's the 16-bit era of superhero video games all over again, and things haven't changed much either as you'll find here. You play as Spidey, pick up various power-up's, have an occasional team-up with some fellow Marvel heroes, and take down hordes upon hordes of bland baddies and the occasional boss as well. While there is a degree of fun to be had, Web of Shadows does get pretty boring after a while, especially considering that it doesn't take you long to see what all the game has to offer, which the PSP version has little. Still, the game doesn't look or sound bad one bit, and there is a decent amount of power-up's and unlockables to find, plus the game's story is fun and makes good use of Spidey and his supporting cast of allies and villains. All in all, if you own a PSP and are a Spidey fan, Web of Shadows is worth a rental and nothing more. If you're craving another open-world Spidey adventure though, you won't find it here.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - This is so awesome... if I was 3
Its cool the fact that you can get 15 Heroes/Villians... but other then that this game was a big disappointment I wish I wouldn't have bought it I will sell it tomorrow

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Misleading Ads, this game is not what you see on the Video. Version on PSP/PS2 is different.
I agree with Brian P. Rogers. On the PS3, that's a game. For the PSP is a different game like 2D. And the funny thing is the same on the PS2. I don't understand why they released this game this way like a SNES game when we are in 2008. The videos they have here are misleading since you won't see any of those moves or go around buildings, or see cars running on the roads, etc. To see those things you need a different system, not the PS2 or PSP. And $40? an Atari game is not worth that. They could've made the same game on the PSP, or something similar. They have done it with many games (Tomb Raider Anniversary, Star Wars games, Tony Hawks, Lego Indiana Jones, etc) I guess they are making games different for each system so that people buy the expensive systems.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great.
As a Marvel fan, with me, this is another one of my Marvel collection. There are about fifteen Marvel heroes and villains in this game.I like it.
