Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good alternative guitar controller
Works great with Guitar Hero (tested with the Aerosmith demo), and RockBand.

Didn't work at first with RockBand 2, but RB2 was patched to work with GH controllers, so use it in GH mode instead (settable on the dongle).

Love the colored light up buttons on the dongle, and the fact that it comes with a USB cable so you can play wired instead.

My only two complaints are:
1. The neck is about 1.5 times thicker than the RockBand guitar neck.
2. It's not balanced (very neck heavy) and you feel like you have to keep holding it up.

A few minor things that don't bug me, but might bug you.
1. There are no solo buttons.
2. The tilt to activate overdrive in RB2 (when in GH mode) doesn't work, although the select button does (which is usually how I do it anyway).
3. The neck buttons are a bit smaller than other guitars.

I got this on Black Friday for < $7 and it arrived the next day. Really good value for the money :)

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Solid Replacement for Rock Band Guitar
The Frontman Wireless Guitar doesn't try to be anything more than it is. It knows that it is a economically priced replacement for the more deluxe pack-ins that come with Rock Band or Guitar Hero. It doesn't attempt to imitate the styling or try any other tricks to make it seem like it's worth more than the price you pay for it. Put simply, it's a no-frills guitar that will keep you rocking.

The guitar itself is much closer to the original Guitar Hero guitars in terms of form facter. It's a good deal smaller than the Rock Band model, which may give players with larger hands more than a few cramps.

Of course, the guitar is an improvement over the original Rock Band guitar due to the fact that it's wireless. The wireless module is implemented in a clever way, as it looks like a foot pedal...but, please, don't try to step on it during a performance.

I did encounter a problem with the guitar and Rock Band 2, however. The "Rock Band" setting on the wireless module causes my guitar to completely freak out, constantly registering that I'm pressing the green button and strumming upward, which means that it throws me into a song pretty quickly, but then there's the fact that it can't actually be played...

The problem is solved if I change it to Guitar Hero mode, and in that mode it works like a dream, except that the effects toggle switch does not work in Rock Band 2 because of it.

Overall, for the price, it's a good replacement. There are better models out there, but at this price range you won't feel like you've been cheated out of a penny with this guitar.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not for use with Rock Band 2
Warning! This guitar is not compatible with Rock Band 2. When Frontman is attached to PS3 and Rock Band 2 disc is inserted, the PS3 freaks out and continues to receive "enter" commands from the guitar. The guitar works great with Rock Band 1, however.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Strongly Recommended
I find this guitar a lot better than the PS3 Les Paul controller. I am getting much higher scores. The Les Paul would always drop notes on fast parts (especially for expert players). This guitar never drops notes. The strum bar is good. The frets feel more tappable. Another cool feature is that the dongle has 5 LEDs that light up when you press a certain fret button.

I do have 1 small problem with this guitar. The neck is very thick, so it might feel a little uncomfortable.

Overall, I definitely recommend this guitar over the Les Paul.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Save your money for another guitar
Guitar feels very cheap and junky. Rock Band 2 Fender quality is an 8 out of 10, this is a 2. Spend a little more and buy a nicer one.
