Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Summary
It's not the best of all Final Fantasy series, however, for a decent collector like myself it's satisfying and sufficient. I absolutely would recommend it for collectors and fans only, not beginners.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - frustrating.
I'd always wanted this game, but never got the gumption to buy it. I eventually purchased a used copy and was severely disappointed. as the Game Informer review says, gameplay is 'frustrating' and the plot was completely lacking. When I played i saw no point. There was no saving the world, no powering up awesome weapons, just running around in a bubble. I expected more from a game from square.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Pretty fun, but....
The gameplay is entertaining. I enjoy the free-based battles over turn-based and active time-based any day. The artifact system is good, but can offer a few set backs, as well. The magic system is good, too. I don't mind the fact that you lose magic after each level. And if you have something to complain about that, then just get the magic rings. I also enjoy the recipe system that's used in this game. But I never could get some smiths to forge certain items.

There are a few things that bother me. One is that you have to have GBAs and specified cables in order to do multiplayer, which I hate because I, as well as my sister and brother-in-law, have an NDS system, but there is no way to link them to the Gamecube. Another thing that is bothersome about multiplayer is the fact that one other person has to carry the chalice around, which kinda makes it pointless to do 2-player sometimes, since most of the time, the other person has to carry the chalice.

Otherwise, all in all, this is a fun game. The music is nice, graphics are good for its time, and it has some challenge to it.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - This game made me hate Final fantasy until I had played others...
Seriously please do not buy this game. It's literally terrible. My ex bf loved it and he was stupid and mindless, however EVERYONE ELSE hated this game. Its boring, easy and pointless. Also to have multiple players you have to have multiple game boy advances and wires. So I had to go half and half to buy game boy advances to get my 3 friends to play with me.

I hated Final Fantasy assuming they were all like this until I played 9 then 7 and LOVED those, they had a story...there is no story at all to this game it's just stupid little battles here and there and you have to carry a chalice. I don't think there is an end you play "years" and fill said chalice then restart all levels again for next year.

This is only good if your a kid and ever played a video game before.
