Rating: - Most Durable Headphones Ever!!!!!
I got these headphones at Walmart in early 2003 for about $17.99 at the time. Who ever knew that I would still be using them today after about 6 years of hard use & abuse. They're still going strong. Great bass & clarity. I haven't had any sound distortion issues & they can take high volume. They fit on comfortably & they don't strain my head or neck after long use. I have never had headphones last me this long.
Today, the cord has soften up, & the logo has wore out, but they still work perfectly. The cord relief still holds the cord tight and prevents it from being pulled from the speaker.
After the speaker pads break off which they do after 6 months, I buy cheap $1 headphones @ the dollar store to take the speaker pads. I throw away the cheap headset & keep the pads to insert them to my Philips headphones. They fit perfectly & have Been doing this since 2003. It makes my philips brand new again.
I Definitely recommend these !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: - Wrong item recieved... twice
I ordered the Philips HS500. I received the Philips SHS5200, which is a MUCH cheaper headphone. I notified Amazon that I received the wrong item. They sent me a replacement which was another set of the SHS5200. I called Amazon customer support and got a refund. Don't order this item unless you want to pay twice as much as for a set of Philips SHS5200.

i first got these a long time ago when i was trying to find a good pair of headphones and when u have a limited budget, you tend to be disappointed by what you can find. but when i got these, the sound was incredible. and unlike all of my other behind-the-ear headphones, this didn't do that stupid thing where the right ear stopped working. they actually lasted me for SEVEN YEARS!! yup! thats right! seven long wonderful worry-free years! tho they probably would've lasted longer if someone hadn't borrowed them and left them on the floor where the vaccuum sucked the chord out of the headphones rendering them useless. --''''
Rating: - WRONG ITEM!
Like several others have experienced, Target sent me the SHS5200 headphones instead of the HS500 headphones I ordered. Now I have to go through the whole returns ordeal because of their careless "mistake," although judging by how many people this has happened to, I have a hard time believing it's truly a mistake. If they didn't have the headphones I ordered in stock, it was NOT ok to just send me whatever they please instead!
VERY disappointed - thought I could trust Target, but apparently I was wrong. If you're thinking of buying these, order them elsewhere or go out and buy them at a store. Don't take the chance of Target "accidentally" sending you inferior headphones in place of the ones you really wanted.

Just as few people before me I also got HSH5200 (much worse headphones) instead HS500. Target or Amazon refused to give any compensation.
