Nowdays PS2 game consoles have a built in ethernet. you wouldnt need this, but since I am old school, I ahve to have old stuff, so I have an old PS2 that requires this adapor. And it works fine ONCE you download and configure your PS2 for it, but eevrything it good.

Rating: - Available at local Gamestop Store
I've been looking for the network adapter for sometime and purchased used one on Amazon. It was delivered within about a week by vendor. I haven't used it yet because I'm waiting for the wireless bridge to drop down. I stopped by a local Gamestop store and they had at least 10 for sale. Way cheaper than listed on Amazon. I mean by 50%!
Rating: - The best investment for a PS2
When i bougth this network adapter my PS2 had the DVD lens worn out so i install a 120Gb hard drive with this adapter and make a backup of my games and i can play without using the DVD.
You need a memory card with a HDLoader installed so the PS2 read from the HD instead the DVD.
This help me to make my PS2 very portable. I don't need to travel with all the DVDs.
Rating: - SOCOM
If it were not for socom there would be no need... socom server problems aside the best thing about the ps2 network adaptor is playing socom online.
