Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Get what you pay for.
I'll start off by saying if this had cost any more than it does I would have been extremely dissapointed. I paid $25 at a Virgin Megastore, and after finishing this thought it could have been a little less [I think the Amazon price is fair.].

I picked this up more to just refresh my memory on the great game I had played 3 years ago, and to catch me up before I dove into KH2 [sold my ps2 before I could play it, and just acquired one :D]. In short, it did exactly what I wanted, but I could see other people putting it off. I finished the entire series in about an 90 minutes, with a short nap in there. This story is RUSHED, a lot of corners were cut, and to someone that has never played this game, they might not want to. Character development that is present in the game is not here at all.

For a book by book review, just go look at each one, they are pretty accurate. But in general, this is just to rushed for anyone that has not played the game to enjoy. I say go buy the game, its cheaper, and you wont regret it. The story is just phenomenal, dont skimp on it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Kingdom Hearts Manga Series
I am an absolute Kingdom Hearts fanatic. When I heard that there was a manga to this story, I flipped out. I like having these books because I like drawing these characters a lot, so to have a reference was nice. Also there are some extra story scenes in these books. Anyways if you like Kingdom Hearts and Manga, This product is for you.

P.S. if you want to buy this product, buy it in a set like this, because it is cheaper. :)

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good, but not great
I've just finished all four volumes of the first Kingdom Hearts. It's very good, but not great. It doesn't live up to the video games, and many scenes do feel rushed and choppy. Plus, Sora's appearance does look a bit childish compared to all the other characters (but then, of course, this happens in almost every adaptation of famous video games). And finally, I was very disappointed that they Chernobog (from the original "Fantasia") didn't appear. It would've been an interesting battle for Sora.

But on the bright side, this is good for those who do not have a Playstation 2 (like me) and desperately want to see what Kingdom Hearts is all about. And many scenes are indeed very touching, such as . . . well, I don't want to spoil it for you. I recommend this for anyone who embraces the mixture of Squaresoft and Disney.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The book is good
The book came in good condition and came earlier then expected. The comic is good and I recommend this to any one who likes the video game seris.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - satisfied
I purchased these books as a x-mas gift for my niece. They arrived in a timely manner and were in excellent condition. She read all the books and enjoyed them a lot.
